Why did you choose this program?
I needed a program that would not only work for me and my schedule, but also a course that would give me enough materials to study, and a chance to pass. I felt this program would give me what I needed to be successful. The videos and materials made me well prepared for the quizzes - perfect ingredients for success. Everything is there for you to receive the certificate.
I was fortunate enough to apply myself, and, in addition, my history as a school teacher helped me. Thankfully, I passed the course, and now I am waiting for my certificate. It is nice to be an alumni and look forward to exciting opportunities.
What did your program provider assist you with, and what did you have to organize on your own?
They gave me three months to pass the class. My time had to be organized, but time was all I needed.
What is one piece of advice you'd give to someone going on your program?
Study hard, and be confident that you will succeed. It is all about reading the materials, watching the videos and taking the quizzes. Be prepared to learn something new about teaching English. Be prepared to try new techniques.
Preparation is the best way to approach this journey.
Make sure you understand that you are who they need. They need your skills, and your credentials, and you are in a fantastic position to help them.
What does an average day/week look like as a participant of this program?
I invest time in studying. I study every day and at the end of the week I begin the process of taking quizzes. Time is something you must invest.
Going into your experience abroad, what was your biggest fear, and how did you overcome it and/or how did your views on the issue change?
My biggest fear was working among foreigners who are committed to their culture. I want to be accepted and give them 200% of my efforts. This can only happen when they see me as a person who wants to be around them and help them.
