BIPOC Support

Salisa Language School accepts TEFL trainees and students from any country or region in the world. The main criteria for anyone participating in our course is that the English language is spoken and understood very well. Separately a rule promoted by the authorities in Thailand is that graduated TEFL teachers seeking work there hold a Bachelor-Degree in any field. If TEFL graduate is a non-native English speaker (NNES) they must pass a TOEIC test before being accepted into a position as a TEFL teacher at a Thai school. TEFL graduates from NES countries (Australia, USA, New Zealand, Canada, the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland) are highly sought after and no TOEIC test is required. The Bachelor-Degree, supported by TEFL graduation will, in the main, assist POC and NNES in obtaining TEFL teaching positions in Thailand.

TEFL course

I am a former secondary teacher but had not taught English before and I wanted to learn to teach English. It was a good course with a nice balance of class time and practicum. I was especially pleased to be able to practice teach in an actual school environment with the actual time constraints of a normal educational environment. The teacher was knowledgeable and the school anticipated and provided everything I needed to be successful. The methodology that I learned was easy to use in many situations.

TEFL

I completed the 120-hour TEFL Course with Salisa Language School.
Before graduation, I received a teaching job offer from an established Thai school. Thanks to Paul's mentoring.
The course is well designed by our trainer Cilian, who delivered it professionally; be prepared for the intensive lessons, full schedule and expectation. Cilian's constructive criticism drove us to next level.
The course ascertained our English pronunciation; two of us were non-native English speakers. I am now confident to speak out/ present in public and at my school. We did well in TOEIC test; supported by preparation of Mardeth.
With friendly trainers, resources and strong support staff (Mam and Nongluk); I highly recommended this course for those seeking a teaching job in Thailand.

Pros
  • Excellence; a practical workshop quality
  • Adult learning experience; make it happen!
  • Enjoyed and had fun

TEFL 120 hour course

I completed the 1 month TEFL course at Salisa and it was a great experience! Teachers were of high quality and very helpful. My teaching has improved from doing the course and I highly recommend anyone to join if you want to teach to a high standard. The course is in depth and there are many opportunities to teach to real classes and schools which makes this course worthwhile. My favourite part of the course was teaching at Srisuvit school, as it gave me a real insight into how to manage a Thai classroom. Thanks to Cillian, Paul and Mam for providing a great experience.

Pros
  • Real class teaching
  • Staff very nice
  • In depth course

TEFL course

I completed the course in March-April 2023. I would like to note a very pleasant and friendly atmosphere on the course and at the school as a whole. It can be seen that a lot of effort has been invested in creating the course. The materials are very useful, I have learned a lot of new knowledge, which I now use in my work. It should also be noted that presentations and practice at school give an opportunity to practice before starting work. Teacher Cillian always gives constructive feedback. I highly recommend this course.

TEFL Course

SLS School is the good place to get TEFL Certificate and for who want to be an English Teacher. In TEFL Course I had opportunity to get more education and I could practice the real teaching in house and Thai school. In this course, there were both interesting and challenging. I am a non-native speaker and the whole course is all English, so it was hard for me to catch the lesson. Especially when the teacher used idioms and professional words. The course has a lot of interesting topics. But the course took only 4 weeks, so it kind a lot of topics for me. I prefer less topics but with deep and a lot of informations in each topic. The staff at SLS are very friendly and helpful. If you had any problems, they are always welcome to help you and gave great advice. I highly recommend this school for who want to be an English teacher and work in Thailand as an English Teacher.

Pros
  • Get more ideas in leading the class
  • Feel more confidence in teaching
  • Get more techniques in teaching

TEFL Course in Thailand

SLS is a good place to study TEFL. I finished my TEFL course on 03rd March 2023. I am from Cambodia and have had a long journey to study in Thailand at SLS school. What I loved the most while studying was the practice of teaching in a huge international school in Thailand. So that I can practice and produce while learning TEFL. The challenge is that the lesson is so much to remember each day; anyways, it always happens when we start any course. I enjoyed learning with my teacher Calian, just sometimes, he is so strict, sometimes he makes some fun. One more thing, I love going to school because the staff at SLS are so friendly. Especially Mam is the director. She is so friendly and always assists me when I need help during my teaching practice.

TEFL Jan 2023 at Salisa

I have known Paul as parent and friend over the past eight years and have had the privilege of working together in a number of school community projects since. I never thought I would be taking the TEFL course after my retirement to begin with! Paul together with SLS professional and friendly team members, in particular Cillian, course instructor and Khun Mam, school manager have put together a well-planned content that focuses on the approaches to the learning and teaching of English as a foreign language to non-native speakers. A lot of work went into the preparation, daily execution and in particular the 5-day practical teaching experience organized with a local company and a school in week three. Cillian’s constant encouragement, unique approaches and personal styles to instill the core of the course to be applied in different situations are admirable. Both Cillian and Paul chose to focus on individual strengths. They are great at following up on things that matter yet patient enough to allow me to have my space. I am proud of myself for having completed the course and more importantly having acquired the skills that can be put to good use. Thank you sincerely to Paul, Cillian, K Mam, Nong Gai and the lady cleaner along with SLS networks!!! You are the best ;)
