About Program
Are you an animal lover? Whether you are a vet, conservationist or simply just love animals, we have worldwide programs to suit you. IVI has been running for over 33 years and is a proud Charity and Non-Profit organisation, helping developing communities throughout the world.
Our animal programs range from working at animal shelters and giving daily care, helping to protect endangered sea turtle’s natural environment, to working on an alpaca and llama farm! Most programs do not need experience but if you have veterinary qualifications, you may be able to help out in surgical procedures and have a greater role.
All programs include arrival airport transfers, accommodation, meals, 24/7 local support, orientation, and Certificate of Completion. We offer safe, reliable and impactful programs, helping communities in need around the globe.
Join us today and help care for and protect animals in need.

Help protect the endangered sea turtles of Indonesia. Located 45 minutes off the mainland by speed boat, stay in an island paradise and contribute to the collecting of turtle population data, cleaning tanks, feeding the turtles, collecting eggs, monitoring nests or if you’re lucky, witness hatchlings getting safely to sea.
This program aims to rescue injured and mistreated stray dogs for rehabilitation and safe housing in pet shelters so they can be put up for adoption of released. Tasks involve assisting in the daily runnings of the dog rehabilitation centre, and to feed, care for and clean the dogs and the centre.
This project works directly with a local family run farm in a rural village approx 33 minutes from Cusco. The farm's objective is to make traditional Peruvian textiles from the wool and of course care for these amazing animals. Help to maintain pens, clean, groom and feed the animals. For qualified volunteers you can provide veterinary services.
In a remote location, help to monitor sea turtle population and protect their home. Work on hatchery management, beach patrols, beach clean-up, data collection, and community education. For those who love animals and have a passion for the environment, this is an exciting project!
