Dublin Summer Intern 2023

Beyond Academy made living in a different country for the first time easy! All of the nitty-gritty work was done by BA, which left me all my time and energy to do my internship and explore Ireland. This program took out a lot of the stress of moving to another country by finding our accommodation for us, reserving our accommodation, ordering a taxi to take us from the airport to our accommodation, scheduling fun things to do on weekends, and getting us bus passes that already had some money on them. The community coordinators were also a huge help in adjusting to living there, and the weekly dinners create a source of social support the second you land in the country!

Pros
  • Weekend trips
  • Weekly group dinners
  • Significantly less expensive than similar programs that I found
Cons
  • The housing was inconveniently far away from the city centre

Great experience overall!!

I absolutely loved my time in Dublin and consider it to be a pivotal career experience for me. Not only was I able to explore a lot of Ireland, but I loved the company I was interning with, gained valuable skills, and even have an opportunity to continue to work with them after graduation. Beyond Academy planned great events, created a community, and always made sure we were safe! I recommend this program to anyone looking to gain skills abroad and expand their resume. The internship experiences are catered to your goals and Beyond makes sure you have the resources to succeed!

Pros
  • Internship
  • Activities

Great experience in Dublin!

The 8 weeks I spent in Dublin with Beyond Academy was a really great experience! I really appreciated the thought put into the activities and field trips planned for us. They gave us a perfect insight into the Irish culture and everything that Dublin had to offer. The sheer number of activities planned, even if they were just casual dinners, was a welcome surprise and they were almost always the highlights of my week. I got along well with everyone else in the program and did quite enjoy my time at my intern company. The Beyond Academy support staff as well were very helpful and would often go above and beyond for us. I do wish the accommodation we were given was closer to city centre as this made my near-daily commute to work quite the journey. I ended up spending quite a bit of my days on busses. However, it overall was an invaluable experience I’m grateful for having!

Pros
  • Variety of Activities Planned
  • Support Staff
  • Accommodation (in terms of aesthetic and amenities)
Cons
  • Accommodation (in terms of location and distance to city/workplace)

Dublin Internship

I had an outstanding 5 weeks in Dublin. The support staff and host company were all kind and welcoming. The weekly (or sometimes bi-weekly) dinners and cultural events were anazing. I got very close with my fellow interns, as these programs bring like-minded individuals together. The housing had good rooms, but wouldn't hold packages for us. We were a little far from the city, but there was a housing shortage and public transport was easy to navigate. The work experience was incredibly meaningful and will help me in the future.

Pros
  • Weekly dinners and cultural excursions
  • Support staff
  • Great host company
Cons
  • Housing (didn't hold packages for us)
  • Location relative to City Center
