International work experience is more important than ever and one of the best ways to make the leap into working and living overseas is by completing an internship abroad.
TEAN offers summer and semester internships for academic credit in leading cities throughout Australia, New Zealand and Asia including Sydney, Auckland, Shanghai and Singapore. TEAN’s expert Internship Team handles all the details, organizing a customized full-time internship placement that fits your interests and professional goals while also helping you get settled in your new host country and culture with included accommodation, activities, excursions and more.
Depending on your needs, you can also study and intern at the same time in certain destinations. Placements are available in any industry – from communications to environmental conservation, finance to sports medicine – to kick off your professional career while still having a ton of fun in the process!

Vietnam boasts the economic hub of Ho Chi Minh City to the capital city and cultural center of Hanoi. Along with a rich culture, varied landscapes, long history and incredible cuisine, Vietnam also boasts one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing economies. Intern to gain experience in various healthcare fields, education, agriculture, engineering, or hospitality. This program includes housing, support from TEAN, and a Local Buddy to further help you connect with Vietnam.

Along with gaining hands-on experience in the field of your choice, you’ll also enjoy housing, included cultural activities, ongoing guidance and plenty of time to explore South Korea.
Experience Singapore's futuristic skyline, melting pot of cultures, strong economy and beautiful green spaces. Your internship will broaden your understanding and experience within both the Asian and global economy, particularly in accounting, finance, business, marketing and technology. Explore the English-speaking city-state, known for its colorful neighborhoods and mouthwatering street food, or take advantage of Singapore’s central location to easily discover the rest of the region.
Kyoto is important hub for Japan’s leading hi-tech companies. The former Imperial capital is one of the country’s main academic centers and has long established business ties with the rest of the world making it an excellent city to intern abroad in – particularly for business, IT, marketing and hospitality. Along with a thriving business scene, Hong Kong is home to the most skyscrapers in the world, more than 260 islands, and some of the tastiest food around. Work abroad with help from TEAN, complete with internship placement, central studio housing, career advice and guided excursions.
Tokyo holds significant importance for Japan’s history, culture, and economy and, instead of being daunting, is a delight to discover. Small, modest noodle shops sit next to high-end sushi joints, surprising green spaces and nearby nature balance out the urban landscape, and there’s always something new to do. TEAN by WorldStrides Diversity Scholarship
This scholarship is offered for summer and semester programs and is intended for students with identities historically underserved in education abroad. This can include, but is not limited to, individuals who identify as African American/Black, Hispanic/Latino, Asian American, Alaskan Native, American Indian, Native Hawaiian, LGBTQIA+, First-Generation College Students, U.S. Military Veterans, students with disabilities, and/or students at Minority-Serving Institutions.
