About Program

Bursa sports coaching volunteer project has a wide range of sports coaching volunteer opportunities, that can help you spread the word about physical activity. Volunteers do not need previous experience and we can tailor the program to suit your skills, interest and experience. If you are a sports lover or physically active person, you can volunteer as a sports coaching volunteer. This program aims to empower the orphan through various sports and games activities. You can volunteer as a sports coaching instructor of athletics, baseball, basketball, boxing, cricket, football, golf, hockey, martial arts, netball, polo, rugby, surfing, swimming, tennis, ultimate frisbee, volleyball and more!

Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. You can read about the potential dangers of orphanage volunteering here.

not my first time with happiness volunteers and definitely not the last

Although this was the third time I was volunteering, I must say it was the best experience I have had so far. Living with a host family not only introduces you to the culture, but it makes you feel safe in the sense that you know you can have immediate help from someone in the community as soon as there is an issue. The volunteering was incredible. Furthermore, I learned about the culture in the orientation program, which was very useful to know more specific customs and cultural things. All in all this volunteer experience was great and taught me more about life than any other trip I have done before.

I loved it

We all think that İstanbul is the best city in Türkiye but give Bursa a go, you will love it. The kids were very polite and behaved really well. Happiness Volunteer local coordinator were always with me and there for me whenever I needed support. The food is delicious, something you shouldn't worry about. Just get your comfy shoes because you will be moving a lot during this program. Leave some time for the local team to teach you some turkish, they are really good at it. The city tours and free time activities are endless so your transportation will be on you though. They will only transport you between the project location and accomodation which is by subway and walking only.

Full of energy program

Volunteering is not an easy thing and it’s definitely way out of my comfort zone but 100 percent one of the most rewarding and fulfilling things you’ll do in your life. Seeing different cultures and realising how happy you can be with so little made a big impact on me and being able to connect with the kids at the program was a favorite moment of mine. Being in the outdoors with the kids and moving most of time made me feel very fresh and ready to be back to work back home. The weather was amazing and enjoyed every moment in the program.

Pros
  • The kids behave really well
