About Program
Enjoy the experience of overseas travel while simultaneously receiving an Australian qualification. If you want the best of both worlds, UniSC’s Diploma programs might be the option for you.
The Diploma program is a recognised 1-year (96-units) Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) award program. This is a great program option if you have just finished high school and want to study abroad without committing to a 3-year or 4-year degree. You can find all our Diploma program offerings by scrolling further down on this page.
If you are currently enrolled at an overseas institution and only want to study abroad for a short time, while possibly earning an AQF qualification to use towards your home degree. Unlike the Study Abroad program offered at UniSC, the Diploma programs allow you to graduate with an AQF award and attend the International Ceremony of Completion prior to returning to your home country.

Learn about animals and turn your love of nature into a meaningful career. Study animals in their natural habitats to better understand how we can protect their future. The first step in a career in animal conservation. On successful completion of the Diploma in Animal Ecology, and subject to meeting all other entry criteria, you may receive up to 96 units of credit towards the Bachelor of Animal Ecology.
A flexible study option that lets you choose any eight courses available to you from UniSC’s Bachelor of Business degree. Follow your own interests with a wide range of subjects in management, marketing, accounting, economics and finance, and more. On successful completion of the Diploma in Business, and subject to meeting all other entry criteria, you may receive up to 96 units of credit towards the Bachelor of Business degree.
Kickstart your business career in just one year. Enter the business field with a broad introduction to the core ideas that drive growth, including entrepreneurship, marketing, management, and more. Gain hands-on experience by developing an innovative business idea, including market research, developing a project ‘pitch’, and writing a business plan. On successful completion, you may receive up to 96 units of credit towards the Bachelor of Business degree.
This Diploma program offers you a great opportunity to improve your communication skills and study overseas. This program is offered over eight courses and gives you the option to tailor your studies to suit your interests. Choose from a wide range of courses including creative writing, media, public relations, journalism and design. On successful completion, you may receive up to 96 units of credit towards the Bachelor of Communications degree.
Study overseas and gain a qualification in criminology and justice. This diploma is offered over eight courses and gives you the option to tailor your studies to suit your interests. Choose from a wide range of courses including criminal profiling and intelligence, crime prevention, youth justice, restorative justice, international justice and human rights. On successful completion, you may receive up to 96 units of credit towards the Bachelor of Criminology and Justice degree.
If you're not quite sure what interests you and would like to explore a variety of different subjects, the Diploma in General Studies is the program for you. This is a unique opportunity to study from a diverse range of disciplines and experience what it’s like to live and study in another country. Choose from a wide range of courses on offer in areas such as business, marketing, event management, communication, creative industries, social sciences, engineering, health and science.
A career that combines environmental studies, exploration and adventure. You'll participate in fieldwork on K'gari (Fraser Island) and other locations on the Sunshine Coast, learn how to navigate diverse terrain using non-motorised modes of travel, and develop an understanding of environmental management objectives, marine ecosystems and the organisms that inhabit them. On successful completion, you may receive up to 96 units of credit towards the Bachelor of Environmental Science.
Earn a diploma in social science and study overseas. Choose from a wide range of social sciences fields such as counselling, social work, history, psychology and urban planning. Our Diploma is offered over eight courses and gives you the option to tailor your studies to suit your interests. On successful completion, you may receive up to 96 units of credit towards a UniSC bachelor's degree in related fields.
