About Program

Situated in the stunning island paradise of Pulau Kecil in the Perhentians, this project centres its efforts on mapping out corals and seagrass beds in the region - which has not been done until now.

The marine ecosystem here faces huge pressures, but there is not enough ecological data available to know how to best preserve the area. As a volunteer here, you will help to conduct this scientific research beneath the waves in a kaleidoscopic marine paradise, where you will encounter sharks, rays, turtles and countless tropical fish! You will also assist in reef and beach cleans to help reduce ocean pollution, as well as educating the local community on the importance of conserving this stunning location and its underwater residents.

You will wake each day to tropical sights and sounds, in your accommodation situated in an authentic fishing village. Words cannot justify the marine life waiting to be discovered here, so why not come and see for yourself?

Amazing experience

I stayed at Fuze Ecoteer's project for a month... In that time I learn how to dive and was able to put this skill to use whilst surveying. It was so rewarding to use this skill to collect data that will hopefully be used to influence marine park management. Such a beautiful place to work in - developed a true appreciation for the marine life. It's also an opportunity to immerse yourself in the local village an culture. I was lucky enough to see three Hawksbill turtles whilst diving!
