Grape Harvest - Volunteer in the Heartland of Israel
- Israel
About Program
Come to Israel during the autumn and experience the most exciting of all the agricultural seasons – the grape harvest. Just 20 years ago, the hillsides of central Israel were barren and desolate. But just as the the prophets Isaiah and Jeremiah foretold in the Bible over 2,700 years ago (see Jeremiah 31), vineyards have once again been planted on the mountains of Israel and they are producing world-class grapes!
Volunteer work consists of helping farmers in the vineyards for 4-6 hours each day and then going on some epic, off-the-beaten-path tours, meeting the locals, and hearing from inspiring speakers. Not only will you be making a difference in the local community, but you'll also get to experience the beauty and culture of this incredible country!
All food, transportation, and accommodations are included in the trip price. You'll be staying at the HaYovel volunteer base on the Mt. of Blessing.
